In this edition of The Last Mixed Tape’s song-of-the-week feature The Mixed-Tape, we turn our attention to ‘Yuki Onna’ by Sive.
Taken from her new self-titled E.P (out now on Spotify), ‘Yuki Onna’ is a dreamlike offering from Sive that melds a floating indie-folk sound above an ominous sonic bedrock of washing textures that give the music a sense of hidden depths to be explored.
‘Yuki Onna’ is an enchanting track and one that could very well be considered Sive’s best work to date due to its use of strong abstract songwriting, beguiling vocals and cinematic production.
