The Mixed-Tape | Young Wonder – Sweet Dreaming

In this edition of T.L.M.T’s song of the week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Young Wonder’s brand new single ‘Sweet Dreaming’.

Young Wonder continue to build momentum in the lead-up to the pair’s debut album Birth, which comes out May 18th via Feel Good Lost. Entitled ‘Sweet Dreaming’, the group’s new single is as affirming and spacious as our previous glimpses into the parent L.P.

As always with Young Wonder, the production is stylised within a hair of perfection. While there is a deeply touching fragility to the vocal of ‘Sweet Dreaming’ that plays well with the band and clatter percussion and great sweeping synth music of the track.

The mood of ‘Sweet Dreaming’ is one of hope. This wide-eyed desire and belief in the infinite possibilities before us is felt in each rise and fall Young Wonder construct into the song. All of which captures the imagination fully, even to the point of uplifting catharsis.
