Vocalist and guitar player for the Dandy Warhols, Courtney Taylor, is set to mix a couple of tracks on the Vincent(s) début album.
The indie-rock legend recently caught the Irish death-pop act perform at this year’s Sea Sessions festival, which Taylor’s band the Dandy Warhols where headlining.
So impressed was the musician with the Vincent(s) powerful live sound that he will now be doing post-production work, as well as mixing two tracks, on the album once it has been recorded.
Speaking exclusively to the Last Mixed Tape about the news the band’s manager Eddie Keily commented.
“It all came about by him catching the lads set at Sea Sessions, he really enjoyed it and got what they were doing and said he would really like to mix and do post production on some of the next recordings in his studio in Portland. He spoke to the guys after the show and Ray that runs Sea Sessions introduced me to Courtney and we took it from there. We are really chuffed to be honest and can’t wait for the recording to start at the beginning of August”.
With the Vincent(s) set to hit the studio this August with engineer Christian Best (known for his work with O Emperor and Mick Flannery) the news that Courtney Taylor-Taylor will be lending his ear and input on the Cork act’s début is very exciting indeed.
