As the annual Record Store Day celebrations enters its 7th year on Saturday, April 19th Tower Records will be joining in on the vinyl themed festivities.
With Tower Records two Dublin stores, at Dawson St. and in Eason’s, O’Connell St., both opening at 8am in the morning to allow vinyl enthusiasts an early start on their Record Store Day 2014 shopping, Tower will be serving espresso’s and other treats to eager fans queuing outside, awaiting the store’s opening time.
Then, with Record Store Day 2014 in full flow, and a rich myriad of hidden gems and limited release vinyls to search through, attendees will be treated to live in-store performances in Tower Records’ brand new upstairs cafe. Acclaimed singer-songwriter Lisa Hannigan, alternative-rock group Little Matador, Derry based artist SOAK and Dave Geraghty’s latest solo project Join Me In The Pines will all be performing as part of Tower Records RSD 2014 celebrations.
Audio technology specialists Cloney Audio will also be on hand in the store, showcasing their array of turntables and various hi-fi equipment. New radio station TXFM will also be broadcasting from Tower Records on the day.
With so many, varied events happening around Dublin this weekend for Record Store Day 2014, Tower Records will be a must for fans of music and the allure of vinyl itself.
