In this edition of The Last Mixed Tape’s song-of-the-week feature The Mixed-Tape, we turn our attention to ‘Nightclub (I Sold My Soul To The Devil)’ by Tandem Felix.
Taken from Tandem Felix’s much-anticipated debut album Rom-Com, ‘Nightclub (I Sold My Soul to the Devil)’ is a texturally lush offering that melds psychedelic inflected alt-country with serene indie-Americana to create a sound that hums above a bedrock of jangling acoustics, whirling organs and gently laid out vocal harmonies.
As intricate, lyrically layered and infectious to listen to as we’ve come to expect from Tandem Felix ‘Nightclub (I Sold My Soul to the Devil)’ is a sure-footed intro to the band’s forthcoming L.P (due out on October 10th).
