The full line-up for this Sunday’s Hotter That July 2017 line-up has been announced today including Manden Express and La Chiva Gantiva.
Now in its fourth year Hotter Than July will take place this Sunday, July 30th in Smithfield Square from 3-9pm, and is a FREE all-ages event.
Performing as part of Hotter Than July 2017 are:
Colombian carnival-punk from festival favorites La Chiva Gantiva, Ga grooves direct from Ghana with Kakatsitsi Master Drummers, Irish-Arabic fusion feat. Palestinian Raed Said and Irish trad elite. Contemporary Middle-Eastern jazz from Ruba Shamshoum, Congolese electric groove from the Niwel Tsumbu Electric Quartet. Rhythmic mantras and infectious Malian Afrobeat from Manden Express
Big Bang Dance Project
Choreographer Catherine Young presents an excerpt of the compelling dance piece “Welcoming the Stranger”- featuring African, Irish & Palestinian Dabke dance set on local community, alongside members of the original cast and dancers from Riverdance. Supported by Dance Ireland & IMC.
