In this latest edition of The Last Mixed Tape’s song-of-the-week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Beach and their latest single ‘Bram Toker’.
The slow-creeping atmosphere of ‘Bram Toker’, finds Beach follow-up the growling darkness of ‘Ono No’ with a track that constantly changes its sonic backdrop.
Moving from brooding alt.rock one minute to playfully spiralling psychedelic guitar melodies the next, ‘Bram Toker’ never settles long enough for the listener to get too comfortable with their surroundings. An aspect of Beach’s music that with every new release seems to be by design.
