BARQ – The Burrow: Friday, 8pm
A group who throw genre convention out the door, and simply do what they want with their music Barq have made their presence more than felt on the Irish music scene in the past couple of months.

Thumper – Dimestore Tent: Friday, 9pm
Their Workman’s Club E.P. launch was explosive, their Knockanstockan set will be just as compelling. Loud and unapolgetic, all the things I like in a band.

Vernon Jane – Dimestore Tent: Friday, 12am
A band just on the cusp of something and at the height of their powers, go see Vernon Jane now.

The continued evolution of Sinead White (now White_Mice) is one of great fascination. White’s recent performance at the Unitarian Church was another step in the right direction, Knockanstockan could be the point of destination.

Land Lovers – Faerie Field: Saturday, 4.30pm
Land Lovers latest album The Rooks Have Returned was released to consdierable acclaim earlier this summer, the group’s appearance on the Faerie Field stage will be yet another example of how well their sound translates live

One of the bands of the moment, Hot Cops set at Knockanstockan 2016 will be packed with indie fans clammering to see the next big thing.

Come On Live Long – The Burrow: Saturday, 7.30pm

Vameel – Faerie Field: Saturday, 11.30pm
The very embodiment of the “exciting new band” label. Vameel will be a definite must see this weekend.

Rosa Nutty – Faerie Field: Sunday, 1.30pm
A very promising new songwriter on the scene, Rosa Nutty is definitely an artist to catch at this year’s Knockanstockan. Festivals are for new musical experiences, and Nutty is exactly that.

i am niamh – Wishbone Stage: Sunday, 3.15pm
A firm favorite here at the Last Mixed Tape, i am niamh’s performance at the Wishbone stage comes highly recommended to those who have not experienced the alternative-pop artist live before.

Mongoose – Faerie Field: Sunday, 3.30pm
Jazz-folk outfit Mongoose return to Knockanstockan once again this weekend. It’ll be interesting to see how the band have evolved since the release of their debut album last year.

Miriam Donohue – Wishbone Stage: Sunday, 4pm
Songwriter Miriam Donohue plays the Wishbone stage at Knockanstockan. Donohue’s recent single ‘Bookmarks’ was a shining example of just how far she has come.

A joyful blend of afro-beat with R&B flourishes, Feather’s sound will be the perfect fit for a sun-soaked Sunday evening at Blessington Lakes.

Bad Bones – The Burrow: Sunday, 9.30pm
With a doubt one of Irish music scene’s most talked about acts (she features in several of TLMT’s artist chosen playlists), Bad Bones will make her Knockanstockan debut this Sunday.
