The latest addition to the Last Mixed Tape’s weekly international music feature comes from Brooklyn band Patio and their track ‘Arbitrary Numbers’.
With its loose hanging groove and weaving guitar and bass lines, the driving garage-pop tinged sound of Patio is stripped back, raw and very infectious.
The trio make great use of their minimal set up, pushing and pulling the dynamic edges of their music to create a post-punk sound that moves with a raucous bang and clatter that makes them hard to ignore.
‘Arbitrary Numbers’ is a straight-to-the-point, no frills track that places Patio as band concerned with the essence of great indie-pop music, the songwriting.
