5 music see live music events at Dublin Culture Night 2015

Culture Night 2015 descends upon Dublin this Friday night (September 18th) with a plethora of music, spoken-word, theatre, art, literature & more all to be experienced. With this in mind here is TLMT’s 5 live music picks for the event.

Stomptown Brass – Trinity College Main Square: 6.30pm 
Stomptown Brass have made an impact of late with the infectious energy of their live shows, including a festival stealing turn at Canalaponic. The group will bring that spark to this year’s Culture Night festivities in Trinity College.

Gavin James – Irish Music Rights Organisation, Baggot Street Lower: 7pm
Singer-songwriter Gavin James will be playing live at IMRO as well as taking part in a in-depth interview. The is a pre-booked event, IMRO’s offices are in the Copyright House Pembroke Row Lower Baggot Street Dublin 2.

Meeting House Square: 7pm – 10pm
Outdoor live music at the Meeting House Square in Temple Bar from RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Lisa Lambe, Fiach Moriarty, Simon Morgan, Moxie & more. There will also be poetry, comedy and theatre.

Lisa O’Neill – Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire: 7pm
Acclaimed songwriter Lisa O’Neill will perform as part of the Pavilion Theatre’s Culture Night show, which will also include screenings of the Frames documentary In The Deep Shade (5pm) and Sigur Ros’ Heima (10.15pm).

Buffalo Woman & This Greedy Pig – Airbnb Offices at South Lotts Rd & Bridge Street, Dublin 4: 6pm
Buffalo Woman and This Greedy Pig both provide the music for Airbnb’s Culture Night 2015 celebrations. The night will also include demonstrations and workshops from filmmaker Eoghan Kidney, illustrator Ruan Van Vilet, chef Kevin Powell (Gruel Guerilla) and food stylist Jette Virdi, .
