Dublin-based indie-rock outfit Almost Ghosts have unveiled their new double A-side single, ‘For This/Quiet Ground’.

There is an overwhelming impression of ambition from ‘For This’, the first side of Almost Ghosts’ latest single. This is felt through the urgent beat, interchanging guitars and widescreen production, the song feels big and that makes an unmistakable impact.

When coupled with the comparatively more infectious sound of ‘Quiet Ground’ (side two), you can hear Almost Ghosts have gone away in the two years since their debut E.P. and expanded the scope of their music. The palette is more broad, the soundscape fuller and the sound is weightier this time round, resulting in a mature more self-assured return from the Dublin band.
