Electronic two-piece Cut Once have revealed ‘Forget About The World’, the second single to be taken from the duo’s forthcoming E.P.
The follow-up to their highly regarded debut single ‘Institution’, ‘Forget About The World’ finds Cut Once in far more widescreen sonic territory in comparison to the enclosed weight of its predecessor.
Merging synth-pop elements into a densely population electronic production, the duo’s new single plays with this heavy undercurrent by dropping and re-introducing it in bursts of powerful dynamism, giving a sense of air the music itself.
Centered around Aisling Browne’s nuanced vocal performance, the track broods with intent and once again showcases Cut Once as a group whose sound and style has come already fully formed.
Two singles in and Cut Once are certainly making their presence felt. Coupled with ‘Institution’, ‘Forget About The World’ is yet another promising glimpse into their upcoming debut E.P next month.
