Gavin Glass to premiere new album at this month’s Classic Vinyl Sunday

Classic Vinyl Sunday

Monthly music event Classic Vinyl Sunday has added a new dimension to its March show with songwriter Gavin Glass set to premiere his new album.

This month’s Classic Vinyl Sunday album comes from folk-rock forefathers the Band and their seminal self-titled (or Brown album) sophomore record. Released in 1969 the L.P features career defining songs for the four-piece such as ‘The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down’, ‘King Harvest (Has Surely Come) and ‘Up On Cripple Creek’.

As well as this influential album being played in full, those in attendance will also be treated to an exclusive premiere of Gavin Glass’s upcoming new record. The songwriter will also partake in the pre-listen discussion panel.

Speaking about this new aspect to Classic Vinyl Sunday, co-organizer Mark Whelan states: “The music industry has never been more challenging and unpredictable for up-and-coming bands, yet we continue to see artists such as Gavin Glass pouring their soul, sweat and savings into making great new records! We have created a unique listening environment for music fans and artists to enjoy new and ‘classic’ albums together”.

Admission to Classic Vinyl Sunday presents: The Band at the Twisted Pepper on March 29th is €10 and will include a free 3FE coffee or glass of wine. Tickets are on sale via eventbrite.ie. Doors are at 5pm, for more information visit the event’s Facebook page.
