Swords, who are headlining the Last Mixed Tape’s birthday show on February 12th at the Odessa Club, have unveiled their cover of Portishead’s ‘Glory Box’ as a free download to mark the occasion.
Recorded live at Smalltown America Records during a special intimate by the trio last year, Swords’ cover version of ‘Glory Box’ perfectly captures the big slow-burning growl and mood of Portishead’s 1994 trip-hop classic.
TLMT is very excited to have Swords headline next month’s show. The group will be coming out of writing hibernation especially to perform and will also be debuting new tracks from their upcoming sophomore album.
Tickets for Homebeat presents: The Last Mixed Tape’s First Birthday show with Swords are priced €10 and are available via entertainment.ie.
