On this week’s episode of The Last Mixed Tape Podcast Steve muses on Banksy’s recent art-piece that appeared during Idles Glastonbury 2024 set (the band were performing ‘Danny Nedelko’ – itself a condemnation of the far-right) and the idea of Performance as an Act of Protest against the far-right and anti-immigration fear mongering. Released out into the Glastonbury crowd, Banksy’s piece was a life-raft containing four dummies symbolising immigrants as a protest to the far-right and now ousted Tory government’s immigration policies.

Also, the Count of Monte Playlisto rides again, and picks out new music from Sister Ghost, Fake Friends, The Kates, Left On Read, and A Lazarus Soul.
