Annual music showcase and conference Hard Working Class Heroes is re-branding as Ireland Music Week with applications for its 2019 line-up set to open in May.

Now expanding to a five-day event, the newly named Ireland Music Week will take place from Tuesday, October 1st to Saturday, October 5th offering more panels, discussions and netwoking sessions, building on the hard work laid out by HWCH over the years while the “key strategic importance of the event will remain, showcasing 50 of the most export-ready emerging Irish acts to the best of our national and international industry.”

Speaking about the re-branding from HWCH to Ireland Music Week, First Music Contact CEO Angela Dorgan states: “The new name will more accurately represent the strategic role of the festival in launching export-ready Irish artists to global prominence at our export supported events such as Eurosonic, SXSW, The Great Escape, and more. Ireland Music Week will also expand to develop the infrastructure of the Irish music industry as a whole”.

Applications for Ireland Music Week 2019 will open this May. For more information please visit irelandmusicweek.com.
