Selfmade returns with event discussing Mental Health & Music at the Tara Building

The Selfmade series returns to Dublin this May with an event featuring discussion panels, workshops, art and live performances.

Taking place on May 25th at the Tara Building in Dublin, Selfmade | Mind YourSelf: Mental Health & Music will be broken into two separate parts.

An afternoon session starting at 4pm, featuring an interactive workshop focusing on how musicians can work with their inner critics, led by psychotherapist, musician, researcher and BIMM lecturer Aoife Ruth in collaboration with Wyvern Lingo’s Caoimhe Barry. 

And an evening session starting at 7pm, which will feature a discussion panel/Q&A, led by music journalist and activist Louise Bruton, on career-related mental health and anxiety, with Maria KellyPaddy Hanna, Le Galaxie’s Michael Pope, Caoimhe Barry and Aoife Ruth. The panel will be opened and closed by live performances (Times TBC).

Tickets to Selfmade | Mind YourSelf: Mental Health & Music at the Tara Building on May 25th are priced at €5 – €10 via weareselfmade.io.

SelfMade is organised independently by artist, Joanna Bain, and musician/label co-founder Julie Hawk (HAVVK) in collaboration with a collective of Irish musicians.
