The line-up for the first UNSCENE monthly live music event has been announced today including Alien She, Sylk and more.
Set to take place at the Underground in Dublin on March 15th, the first Unscene: A Live Music Event For Queers and Pals will feature performances from garage-punk trio Alien She, alt-pop artist St. Bishop, electronic duo Sylk & indie songwriter Maija Sofia. The night will also include Dj’s Sets from PRNC$$, Tears For Queers and much more.
Speaking about the show, organizers Dwayne Woods of the Co-Present and songwriter Ailbhe Reddy say:
“About 8 months ago Ailbhe appeared as a guest co-presenter on my radio show and we got talking about the possibility of working together on a live music Queer event. Some people have asked why are you doing a Queer event?
Apart from the obvious, the simple answer is because there currently isn’t really an event that focuses on live music but there is definitely a space for one within the music and the LGBTQ+ communities. There are some amazing and very successful club nights running in Dublin which is fantastic but we want to cater for those who might like to attend a live music event and check out some local talent.”
Tickets for Unscene at the Underground on March 15th are €8 via Eventbrite or €10 on the door.
