TLMT’s Xmas Mixed-Tape featuring Chanele McGuinness, Jack O’Rourke, Montauk Hotel, Tanjier & more

Jack O'Rourke

With the festive season upon us the Last Mixed Tape has come up with a special Xmas Mixed Tape featuring Chanele McGuinness, Jack O’Rourke, Montauk Hotel, Tanjier & more.

Jack O’Rourke ft. Graham White – The Power of Love
Jack O’Rouke’s rendition of ‘The Power of Love’ as part of the Co-Presents Charity album in aid of Pieta House takes a modernist electronic spin on the bombastic Frankie Goes To Hollywood classic.

Chanele McGuinness – Blue Christmas
Indie-folk artist Chanele McGuinness provides a serene harmony-led take on the Elvis’s ‘Blue Christmas’ in aid of dspca.ie.

Montauk Hotel – 2000 Miles
Winners of this year’s TLMT Readers Song of the Year poll, Montauk Hotel also feature on the Co-Present’s Charity album in aid of Pieta House, adding some wintery shimmer-pop sounds to the Pretenders’ ‘2000 Miles-.

Everything Shook – Christmas Mistress
A Xmas single with the quirky dialled up to eleven, Everything Shook’s delivers a forlorn yet upbeat synth-pop gem in the shape of ‘Christmas Mistress’.

Blind Poets – Balulalow
A deeply ethereal entry to TLMT’s Xmas Mixed-Tape, Cork-based folk group Blind Poets have unearthed a 12th Century Carol in the shape of ‘Balulalow’.

Tanjier – Merry Christmas Everybody
Finishing things off with another entry from the Co-Present’s Charity album in aid of Pieta House (check out the whole record, it for a great cause), Tanjier deconstructs Slade’s Xmas banger ‘Merry Christmas Everybody’ into a slow vibey electro track.
