The Last Mixed Tape

With the U2 Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour set to land in Croke Park this Saturday night (July 22nd), TLMT has chosen and created a Spotify playlist of it’s 20 favorite U2 tracks of all time.  

Having had the opportunity of catching U2’s Joshua Tree 30th Anniversary Tour live at Twickenham Stadium last weekend, it’s hard not to be over awed by one the greatest rock bands of the past forty years performing one of the greatest albums of the 20th century. Indeed, those headed to Croke Park this weekend are in for a real treat.

U2’s legacy is a lasting one. Few bands could have (or indeed would have) made the sharp left turn in sound that was the journey between Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby, especially after the monumental success of the former. Add to this the fact that both records are now rightly considered to be modern classics, as well as a career filled genre spanning music, and you have a long and varied back catalog to choose from.
