Dublin/Reykjavik instrumental duo Variant Sea have made their return with the brand new single, ‘Hiraeth’.
Spanning over an epic seven minutes, ‘Hiraeth’ finds Variant Sea moving into more expansive territory with their mix of ambient, post-rock and classical music.
Experienced through movements rather than verses or motifs, the sound of ‘Hiraeth’ is that of far-off multi-layered guitar textures and expressive piano that make for a near cinematic journey into Variant Sea, like the score to some lost and forgotten film playing to an empty theater.
