In this edition of The Last Mixed Tape’s song-of-the-week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Ruth and her brand new single ‘Off My Mind’.
A song soaked in hazy atmosphere, ‘Off My Mind’ is a stylistic jump in the right direction from alternative-pop artist Ruth.
With it’s Lana Del Rey-esque leanings and melodramatic peaks and troughs, Ruth’s latest single works to give a fuller picture of the artist as a songwriter, whilst also providing a compelling look into her evolving sound (especially the track’s electro-heavy crescendo).
