TLMT’s Guide to Record Store Day 2017 in Dublin


Record Store Day 2017 will take place across the globe this Saturday, April 22nd, celebrating its 10th anniversary. With a plethora of events happening in Dublin, here’s TLMT’s guide to RSD 2017. 

Record Store Day 2017 – The Vinyl List & Where to Find Them
Every year Record Store Day brings forth a myriad of specially made, limited addition and much sought after re-issue vinyls for music fans. With so much to dig through, discover and find, including releases from Anna Calvi, Laura Marling, U2, David Bowie and more. Check out the full 2017 list – here

The Record Spot/R.A.G.E – Fade St.
Always the first place I visit during Record Store Day each year, the Record Spot is always bustling with live music and DJ’s inside and outside the store. This Saturday will see sets from: Field Trip, Aoife Nessa Francis, Postcard Versions, Dennis Cassidy (DJ), Kid O’Brien (DJ), Keith Fennel (DJ), Danny G (DJ), DJackulate (DJ), Louis Skully (DJ) and more TBC.

Freebird Records – Wicklow St.
Electronic duo Ships and singer-songwriter Aoife Nessa Francis will be performing live in Freebird Records as part of their RSD 2017 festivities.

Tower Records – Dawson St.
Tower Records will ring in Record Store Day 2017 with vinyl sales, a Forbidden Fruit 2017 ticket give-away, ice cream, HiFi demonstrations and in-store performances from Dublin ska band Interskalactic and legendary Irish trad-fusion act Kila.

Golden Discs – Dundrum
Neev Kennedy, Tadgh
and Future Stops will all play at Golden Disc’s Dumdrum store from midday this Saturday.

Tower Records RSD 2017 After Party – The Liquor Rooms
Following their daytime RSD 2017 celebrations, Tower Records will be also throwing an after-party at the Liquor Rooms with appearances from Ham Sandwich, Fiction Peaks, Katie Laffan and Third Smoke.
