Electronic artist Participant has released a brand new music video for his track, ‘Your Better’.
Taken from Participant’s most recent E.P. Content and directed by Bob Gallagher, the video for ‘Your Better’ matches the ominously brooding atmospheres found in the music.
Following a young male prostitute, the narrative and the voyeuristic camera work help to convey the isolation and distance that runs through Participant’s songwriting, while the visuals themselves are a stark mirror of the song’s icy production.
The video will be followed by a limited edition cassette compilation, ‘Sampler’. Side A will present a compilation of singles to date, including a brand new song ‘Next Year’, while Side B will contain a sample library featuring sounds, oddities, and noises from Tiernan’s personal collection. Participant begins a small tour in support of the release at London’s Servant Jazz Quarters on March 1st with a headline Dublin Show to announced shortly.
