Ennio Morricone announces his last Irish show

Legendary composer Ennio Morricone has announced a final Irish show at the 3Arena as part of his farewell tour.

Taking place at the 3Arena on Saturday, September 23rd the concert will come as part of Morricone’s retirement from live performance tour.

Speaking about the show, the Maestro says: “I have been moved by the passion for my music and the appreciation shown by Irish audiences on previous visits. I must play one final show in Dublin before I retire. I expect this to be an emotional and very special evening for all”.

Ennio Morricone has composed  over  500  scores  for  cinema  and  television  as  well  as  over  100 absolute  music  works  and  is  the  only  film  composer in  history  to  have  received  the  honorary Academy Award for his lifetime achievement. Highlights include his scores for Once Upon a Time in the West, One Upon a time in America, A Fistful of Dollars, The Untouchables, The Mission, Cinema Paradiso, The  Best  Offer,  etc.  Morricone’s  score  for The  Good,  The  Bad and  The Ugly holds  the number two position in the Top 200 ranking of best film soundtracks ever composed.
