Singer-songwriter James Vincent McMorrow has made his return with the brand new single ‘Rising Water’.
The metamorphosis of James Vincent McMorrow continues with ‘Rising Water’. Moving into more definite synth-pop territory (mixed a dash of R&B), the song delves deeper into the stylistic flourishes that made his previous album Post Tropical such an interesting record.
Featuring a production that ebbs and flows with electronic beats, pulsing retro synths and McMorrow’s own sweetly reaching vocal, ‘Rising Water’ is yet another affirmation of the artists abilities as well as inner need to keep changing.
A world away from the indie-folk of his debut Early In the Morning ‘Rising Water’ marks a sublime return from a songwriter determined to keep moving.
