From the outset ‘Magic Mountain’ instantly and brilliantly reminds us all of just why there is so much hype around Belfast band Pleasure Beach.
With it’s “go big or go home” styled production the entire record shudders with rhythm, harmonic flourishes and melody as the group’s overpowering sound fully takes hold in mere seconds and refuses to let go right to the end.
What’s even more impressive is just how Pleasure Beach found that extra je ne sais quoi in their sound to push their own sonic boundaries further than they have done before. Stellar.
