In this latest edition of T.L.M.T’s song of the week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Land Lovers and their brand new single ‘Angeline’.

A rip-roaring slice of indie-pop, Land Lovers return finds the group losing none of their characteristic ear for melody and gaining a slicker retro production aesthetic.

With its pounding Spector-esque beats, jangling guitars and big lovelorn choruses, ‘Angline’ is an indie-gem in waiting and makes for an instantly infectious listen.

Indeed you find yourself pressing play again and again just to learn it off by heart. A most welcome return from Land Lovers.

Land Lovers will celebrate the release of their forthcoming album The Rooks Have Returned with a gig at the Workman’s Club on May  21st.
