Math-rock band Race the Flux have made their return with the musically swirling new single ‘Matty Rusko’.
Following the band’s Olympians E.P. from last year ‘Matty Rusko’ is a far broader record Race the Flux that melds indie-pop, math-rock and indie into the group’s already full to the brim sonic melting pot.
Indeed, Race the Flux through everything at the wall with ‘Matty Rusko’. The song jumps, twists, turns and rests (sometimes all within the space of 30 seconds) and feels all the more vibrant for it.
Continuing this, the song furthers the band’s growth as a studio band with the production feeling more than capable of meeting their stellar live reputation.
Race the Flux have upcoming headline shows in Sweeney’s (Dublin) on March 23rd and Crane Lane Theatre (Cork) on April 7th with support from Pranks.
