In the latest edition of T.L.M.T’s song of the week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Otherkin’s latest single ‘I Was Born’.
Otherkin seem to be a band reveling in their continued success. Having watched the group from their early alt. rock beginnings to their recent joyous rock ‘n’ roll output, it’s especially gratifying to see Otherkin excel at being themselves.
With ‘I Was Born’, Otherkin develop on the hook-based indie of ‘Ay Ay’ with a punkier sound that gets straight to the point. Fast and succinct, the band’s latest single another sign of just how far the four-piece have come.
Otherkin will celebrate the release of ‘I Was Born’ with their biggest headline show to date in Whelan’s on April 8th.
