Press Play | Tangerine offer garage-pop brilliance on ‘Sunset’

Sugar Teeth

Seattle-based garage-pop trio Tangerine’s latest single ‘Sunset’ is the latest track to be added to the Last Mixed Tape’s Press Play playlist.

An indie-gem in the making, ‘Sunset’ is a melody soaked slice of goodness. From the punchy guitar riffs that litter the song’s production to the instantly infectious vocal lines the track is the perfect intro to Tangerine and their new E.P. Sugar Teeth.

With it’s snapshot songwriting, playful lyrics (“I was the kind to spill the wine”) and bouncing interplay, ‘Sunset’ showcases the power-pop side of Tangerine’s music. Whilst tracks such as Sugar Teeth’s title track finds the group in more introspective music and lyrical territory.
