In the latest edition of T.L.M.T’s song of the week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Bleeding Heart Pigeons latest track ‘O Happy, Happy, Happy’.
There’s a fuzz of confusion and angst about ‘O Happy, Happy, Happy’. Taken from Bleeding Heart Pigeons upcoming debut album Is (due out on February 12th – iTunes) the song snaps and bites with a tense undercurrent.
Fueled by the cacophonous post-punk meets electronic sound of Bleeding Heart Pigeons music merges with the dark tone of lyrics such as “my emotions are equations, though they appear as a rabid dog”.
A song that speaks of isolation, frustration and anger ‘O Happy, Happy, Happy’ highlights a band able to portray both the lyrical and the musical elements of their songwriting as one.
