Belfast-based alternative-rock group Hot Cops have unveiled their latest single ‘Passive Passive.
Slow-burning and patient, the rumbling post-punk malaise of ‘Passive Passive’ is the sound of a band in full control of their music.
Throughout the song’s four minute running time, Hot Cops play with the dynamic edges of their sound. Moving from sudden rushes of thrashing guitars to pulled-back sections of jangling alternative-rock that have more than a hint of Dinosaur Jr. about them.
The single itself is due out on February 8th on Paper Trail Records. Limited to 100 copies on one-of-a-kind teal vinyl.
