performance artist, Mr Vast. Mr Vast is the alter ego of Henry Sargeant –prepare to expect the unexpected! DJ Aidan Kavanagh will be performing an eclectic and highly danceable Bollywood set. Aidan has performed his Bollywood set at Electric Picnic’s Body & Soul Stage and Salty Dog Stage to throngs of delighted revellers. Joining him are Serpents Mystiques. This belly dancing troop combine a mixture of oriental, Indian, Asian, Flamenco and tribal dance in an incredibly fluid movement. Bedecked in ornate costumes, they are a truly visual treat! If you fancy giving bellydancing a go yourself, the awesome Yasmina, who is an acclaimed international dancer and teacher and the director of Serpents Mystiques will be also giving a Bollywood workshop on the night (tickets for this workshop are available on the door for €10, separate to the gig itself) YES! On top of all this awesomeness, d808, AKA Dmitry Wolf, will also be spinning some tunes to keep you moving. His sound is best described as thoughtful, intelligent, intensely danceable – techno, infused with a hint of playfulness which can bring the beat in unexpected directions. This night will be awesome.
