Irish indie-pop legends the Blades have returned with the single ‘Harder Times’, the band’s first new music in 30 years.
Taken from the Blades forthcoming E.P. Smalltime (which is due for release on November), ‘Harder Times’ finds the band pick-up where they left-off three decades ago with a bombastic power-pop sound driven forward by big booming blasts of brass, pumping drums and melodic pop-based vocals.
A welcome return from a band that are one of the acts to set the foundations for the Irish indie scene as we know it today, it’ll be interesting to hear how their upcoming E.P. shapes up this winter. See full track listing below.
