Dublin three-piece Sleep Thieves have released their brand new music video for ‘High’, taken from the group’s current album You Want the Night.
Featuring some stunning costume design and cinematography, director Claire Bynre’s video for ‘High’ finds a modern-surrealist visual for Sleep Thieves music, set to flourescent cityscape backdrop of Toronto, Canada.
Following two masked characters through collage of striking imagery, Byrne constantly finds interesting and enchanting scenes to mirror the slow-burning synth-pop sound of ‘High’ itself, including the video’s grassland finale.
A highlight from a record filled with stand-out tracks (see TLMT’s review of You Want the Night – here), ‘High’ captures the depth of production and style found in its parent L.P, with the trio’s mood setting dark synth-pop sound resulting in an infinitely compelling listen every time you return to it.
