In the latest edition of T.L.M.T’s song of the week feature The Mixed-Tape we turn our attention to Wounded Healer and the track ‘Panic About Love’.
With its glistening production and electro-pop hooks ‘Panic About Love’ works as a fully stylised introduction to Wounded Healers music.
Crashing beats echo into the back ground, while arpeggiated synths move around vocalist Sorcha McGrath’s whispered performance in the foreground, giving the track a sense of depth both sonically and emotionally. Resulting in a compelling sound that draws you in more and more with each listen.
A promising start from Wounded Healer, ‘Panic About Love’ is the sound of an artist who gets who they are stylistically and musically (something not often seen in debut releases). And now with this strong foundation built, it’ll be interesting to see where she goes from here.
