Indie-folk duo Saint Sister have released the atmospherically toned title-track from their forthcoming debut E.P. Madrid.
Instantly setting the scene, the Philip Glass overtones of persistent vocal rhythm that form the backdrop of ‘Madrid’ create great enchanting atmosphere and depth.
Accompanied by a production that subtly introduces electronic beats into the mix, the vivid soundscape of Saint Sister’s debut single is one that shows a maturity and understanding of their sound way beyond their relatively short existence as a duo.
Wrapped up in the intertwined harmonies that Saint Sister weave around one another, the music is one of patience and imagery that ultimately leaves me wanting to experience the E.P. in full a.s.a.p.
