American psychedelic pop outfit Ducktails have been confirmed for a show in Whelan’s on Monday, November 16th.
Ducktails (Matt Mondanile) will come to play the Dublin venue this winter as they tour their release of their fifth studio album St. Catherine.
The record came out last month via Domino Records and found Mondanile exploring more barque-pop territory in terms of sound and songwriting.
Speaking about the album’s title (a reference to St. Catherine of Alexandria) and central metaphor Mondanile recently remarked:
“The title track, St. Catherine, is about being blinded by light. It’s about throwing yourself into a revery, regardless of the consequences.”
Tickets to see Ducktails live in Whelan’s on November 16th are priced at €20 (inc. booking fee) and will be available from tomorrow (Wednesday August 5th) via www.whelanslive.com, ticketmaster.ie & outlets nationwide.
