The first wave of artists set to perform at the first Canalaphonic music festival in Dublin has been announced today.
Running from Friday, May 8th to Saturday, May 9th at several stages, pubs and venues around the Rathmines/Portobello area Canalaphonic 2015 will feature a wide array of acts from a broad scope of genres and styles.
Included in the first batch of artists confirmed for Canalaphonic are: The Hot Sprockets, Gavin Glass and the Holy Shakers, Sinéad White, The Stomptown brass band, Corner Boy, Featuring X, Ruditrixx, Mother Mooch, Cave Ghosts, The North Sea, Carriages, Maria Sommerville, Cut Once, Swimmers, Steve Young and the Union, Jem Mitchell and many more to be added.
The festival will also include a selection of art exhibitions, comedy nights, spoken word, drama, markets and pop-up acoustic performances.
Admission to all Canalaphonic 2015 events is FREE. The festival is also ‘Play for Pay’ (meaning all the acts taking part will be paid for their work). For more information on Canalaphonic 2015 visit canalaphonic.com.
