Electro-pop four-piece Vann Music have unveiled their upcoming single ‘Boy’ and release date for it’s parent E.P. Running.
A much broodier affair than Vann Music’s previous single ‘Silver & Gold’, ‘Boy’ has a definite atmosphere and edge to it with the band channeling the big widescreen, synth driven production of Depeche Mode and U2 circa Achtung Baby/Zoopora.
Taken from the group’s new E.P. Running (which is due for release on March 6th) ‘Boy’ is an engrossing lead single that alludes to an ambitious overall sound. It will be interesting to hear if this is expanded upon in the forthcoming parent record.
Vann Music will also embark on a tour of the country in support of the E.P’s release this Spring, including dates at the Button Factory (Dublin), Róisín Dubh (Galway), Dolan’s (Limerick) and Cyprus Avenue (Cork). See full list of shows below.
