Dave Geraghty’s Join Me In The Pines recently performed an intimate live show at Abner Brown’s barbershop in Rathmines, performing songs from their current album Inherit.
Filmed live at Abner Brown’s last December, Join Me In The Pines (Dave Geraghty, Tadhg MacCuig & Claire Finglass) provide a slithering, alternative-folk and blues tinged performance of ‘In The Ground’.
Centered around a persistent sliding acoustic blues riff, a shake of percussion and Geraghty’s captivating vocal performance, ‘In The Ground’ builds mood through simplicity and subtlety.
Caught in the close quarters locale of Abner Brown’s barbershop in Rtahmines, which has become something of a hotspot for Irish songwriters and bands to perform of late, the performance works as a perfect match of sound and setting.
