Irish indie acts come together for Xmas charity single ‘Christmas Is In Your Heart’

Niall Jackson of Bouts, Conor J. O’Brien of Villagers and MayKay of Fight Like Apes all lend their vocals on the charity single ‘Christmas Is In Your Heart’ in aid of the Peter McVerry Trust. 

Released last night and premiered on Tom Dunne’s Newstalk radio show, ‘Christmas Is In Your Heart’ is hook-filled holiday season single that not only enters the festive mood musically but also conveys the important message behind its release.

Recorded in K9 studios, Christmas Hearts is a collective of Irish musicians brought together by Niall Jackson of Bouts to raise funds and awareness for the worsening homelessness situation in Ireland. With 100% of the sales going to the Peter McVerry Trust.

Featuring on the single are Conor O’ Brien of Villagers, May Kay of Fight Like Apes, Brian Kelly of So Cow, Enda Canavan from Paddy Hanna’s band, Shane Murphy of Land Lovers and Jim McNulty from Spring Break.

Also appearing as the Christmas Hearts Choir are: Anne Reid, Anann Connor, Carina Fitzgerald, Guillaume Grillet, James McDonald, Niall Cullinane, Steve Reddy, Ella Rogers-Browne and the band.

‘Christmas Is In Your Heart’ will have a launch gig in Whelan’s on Thursday, December 11th with performances from some very special guests. Tickets are €10 via whelanslive.com.
