Dublin based noise-pop act Spines will perform their first headline set at Fibber Magees downstairs venue on Saturday, November 15th.
A band very much on the ascendency Spines have made a palpable impact on the Dublin live music scene of late, following a string of performances including shows at the Bello Bar, Voodoo Lounge and an upcoming appearance at Saucy Sundays’ 4th birthday celebrations this weekend.
Indeed, listening to the group’s only single to date ‘L.U.C.Y’ it’s not hard to understand why the four-piece are making such an impression. Taking in the swaggering sound of noise-rock acts like Manchester’s Pins with the same garage-pop twist seen from fellow Dubliners September Girls, Spines’ music is an exciting take on the genre filled with band’s own personality and some much-needed lo-fi verve.
Spines will be supported on the night by Future Phantoms, The Tailor Made, Good Manners and Carmine.
Tickets are priced at €7 on the door. The show is an early one, with doors opening at 1pm. For more information visit the event’s Facebook page.
