Songwriter SOAK has unveiled her new music video for the single ‘B a noBody’.
Directed by Charlie Rothberg, the monochromatic aesthetic coupled with the decaying buildings and floating balloons finds Rothberg using symbolism and juxtaposition to convey the personal tone of SOAK’s lyrics.
Translating the introspective and frustrated feelings that the music populates, the director finds the right blend of minimalist scope and large-scale shot compositions that mirror the reverberant space of the song and the emotive vocal performance by SOAK.
A deeply personal song, ‘B a noBody’ is given an added visual dimension through Charlie Rothberg’s video that also feeds into SOAK’s own singular artistic style.
