Dublin based five-piece the Manhattan Syndrome are set to held a special pre-launch listening party for their forthcoming album Goodbye Iowa at the Odessa Club.
Taking place on Wednesday, October 22nd the debut public unveiling of Goodbye Iowa will include visuals shot by members of the Manhattan Syndrome as well as video artists Trish MacAdam and Eoin O’Dowd.
A partially crowd-funded album (via Fund:it), written and recorded over the space of 2 years, Goodbye Iowa is the group’s debut full-length L.P. and features guest appearances from Valerie Francis (voice) and Eoin Grace (trumpet).
The album’s lead single ‘Keepsake’ a serene, expansively textured piece centred around a dual vocal and surrounded by weaving brass harmony. An evocative and stylish introduction to its parent record, the song is a confident affirmation of the Manhattan Syndrome’s sound ahead of Goodbye Iowa’s release.
The Manhattan Syndrome’s Goodbye Iowa pre-launch party will take place on October 22nd at the Odessa Club, Dublin. Doors at 8pm. For more information visit the event’s Facebook page.
