Derry based singer-songwriter SOAK will perform at the Unitarian Church, Dublin on November 8th.
The songwriter, whose distinctly personal sound seen on the recent single ‘Blud’ has garnered her much attention from influential radio DJ’s such as Zane Lowe, Paul McLoone, Lauren Lavern & Dan Hegarty as well as other artists including synth-pop trio Chvrches, will play the Dublin venue this winter.
The show at the Unitarian Church will come just days after SOAK releases her next single ‘B a noBody’ (the first since signing with prestigious record label Rough Trade) which is out digitally now and will also be available as a 7″ record from November 3rd.
Speaking about the meaning behind the song, the artist commented “’B a nobody’ was written about people who feel held back in life, or don’t know what their plan is, It’s kind of, ‘if everybody is somebody, then nobody is everybody.”
