Indietroncia act Glass Animals have announced they will headline a show in Whelan’s, Dublin next month (October 18th).
Following the band’s set at this year’s Electric Picnic festival, Glass Animals will return to Ireland this Autumn to take their deeply textural electronic sound to the main stage in Whelan’s.
The four-piece recently released their new album Zaba, a bold pice of indietronica music that captures the group’s harmonically dense sound. Speaking to the Last Mixed Tape earlier in the year band member Joe Seaward talked about performing the album in a live context:
“It’s an opportunity to give a new lease of life to the tracks. We try to find the important parts of the songs, the soul of it. Some songs come out a stripped down, while others have a lot more electronic parts to them. It’s important to take the production into consideration and try to translate that live.” (read the full interview here).
Tickets for Glass Animals in Whelan’s on Saturday, October 18th are priced at €16.50 and will go on sale this Wednesday (September 3rd) at 9am via ticketmaster.ie. Doors are at 8pm, for more information on the show visit whelanslive.com.
