The Wellington Weekender festival at the Workman’s Club

The Workman’s Club in Dublin is set to host The Wellington Weekender festival from this Friday June 27th to Sunday June 29th.

A free-three day event (June 27th – 29th), the festival will include an exciting line-up of acts who will perform on each night including Girls Names, Women’s Christmas, Delorentos, Kate’s Party, Color//Sound, Lisa O’Neil, Mossy Nolan and Ain’t Saint John.

There will also be DJ’s, The Workman’s Karaoke Club and Sister Lisa Marie’s Guilty Pleasures all happening around the venue.

Saturday, June 28th will also see a special roof-top market opened from 1pm – 6pm with an array of tapes, vinyl, books, magazines, vintage clothes and fresh bakes treats all on sale.

Bison Firewing Challenge is happening on the Saturday at 2pm, and they are putting a call out for teams of 3 contenders. It will be relay style contest wherein each contender must finish 4 double wings (with a sauce that comes in at 6.4 million Scoville units). Contestants need to sign up by Thursday, 26 June by sending an email to pitboss@bisonbar.ie.

The Ink Factory will also be bringing their tattoo gear to the Workman’s, so people can try their hand at tattooing a melon or a banana. They’ll be piercing all day, too, plus on hand for haircuts.
