The Statics to play free Whelan’s show

The Statics

Dublin indie-rock outfit the Statics have confirmed they will be performing in Whelan’s, Dublin on Thursday June 19th.

A group with a vibrant, jangling take on the indie and rock ‘n’ roll genres the Statics are a band gradually gaining momentum through several hook-laden infectious gems such as ‘Alone’ and ‘Hit & Miss’ (taken from their début E.P Hidden Pigeon).

Showcasing pin-point pop sensibilities and succinct song-writing maturity the Statics also have a live sound that matches the interwoven melodic scope of their vivid, highly stylised studio work.

Energetic and engaging the Dublin four-piece are one of the countries most promising acts and the Statics’ forthcoming gig in Whelan’s main venue will be exciting chance to catch a band in the midst of their creation and ascendancy.

Admission to see the Statics play Whelan’s in Dublin on June 19th is free. Doors are at 8pm, for more information visit the event’s Facebook page.
